What is the Aeon 20?
This is a durable yet versatile backpack with a plethora of features and storage options, to accompany you on multi-day treks or bikepacking weekends with your pals.
What is it made of?
This pack is constructed using 50% Recycled 70D Nylon S Dobby and 140D Nylon S Dobby with a Trishield® treatment. Nylon is a robust material that can withstand abrasion and contact with rougher surfaces, handy when scrambling through rocks and rough terrain. The Trishield® treatment improves tear resistance to increase the overall strength and durability of the bag.
What backsystem does it use?
The Aeon 20 uses a specialised Air Contour X™ adjustable backsystem. The back panel on this pack is vacuum formed, pre-curved and moulded with a semi-rigid structure. This structure maintains the pack shape whilst moving and flexing with the body for a comfortable, adaptable feel.
The moulded foam and spacer mesh combination offers increased breathability, especially in contact points between the body and the fabric, certainly a feature to be thankful for in warmer weather.
What are its features?
Well-fitted packs are essential for outdoor use to help prevent injury and discomfort.
The Aeon 20 has an adjustable back length for a personalised fit, helping you to adapt the pack to your height for a more comfortable feel. The hipbelt is also adjustable, so pull it tight! Hipbelts should lie on the hip bones to centre and balance the weight. A well fitted hipbelt will direct the weight down to your hips, putting less pressure on the back and spine, which helps prevent pain and discomfort from wearing the pack for long periods.
The panel loader style means you can easily open the pack up and get to everything inside, secured with a zip fastening for quick access.
In terms of storage, you're really spoiled for choice. Starting off with the front and side pockets, constructed with a stretch mesh, these are breathable, stretchy pockets, great for carrying drinks or even wet kit if you'd rather not mix it with all your other items.
The internal and external lid zipped pockets are ideal for your frequently used items, giving you easy access to reach objects in a hurry, whilst the internal zipped pocket is perfect for valuables like a phone or wallet.
On the hipbelt, extra zip pockets can be found to store snacks, gels, compasses and other small essentials, meaning you can access them without taking off the whole pack.
The TipGripper walking pole attachments are a fantastic addition for those who enjoy walking or running with poles. These attachments are a specific, secure place to stow the poles away when not in use, giving you one less thing to worry about holding.
The light loop is a handy detail for those exploring after hours, looking to add some extra visibility, alongside a rain cover for added protection against nasty weather.
