What is the Exion 35 ND?
It's a women's-specific 35-litre pack ideal for long days out on the hill, light overnight trips and hut-to-hut adventures. The pack offers a narrower fit, stable and comfortable carry and easy access to your items.
What is it made from?
The main body of the pack is crafted from a robust 330D striped dobby nylon material with a Hydroshield coating and 600D reinforcements to the base and key areas. Stripe Dobby is a type of fabric weave characterised by small, geometric patterns or textures woven into the fabric, making it more resistant to wear and tear. This durability is vital during outdoor adventures as your backpack can be subjected to rough handling, abrasions, and exposure to harsh elements.
The Hydroshield coating applied to the pack is a specialised water-resistant treatment designed to repel water, making it more resistant to moisture and rain. However, please note that this does not make the backpack waterproof. We recommend using the included rain cover to keep your belongings dry during downpours.
The backpack's lining is made of 100% polyester, which is lightweight, ensuring that the backpack remains comfortable to carry. Polyester is also known for its durability and resistance to stretching, ensuring that the backpack's lining will hold up well over time.
What backsystem does it use?
The Exion 35 ND uses Rab’s V-TRAX™ carrying system which features a hook and loop adjustment system to easily personalise the back length. A sturdy, comfortable harness, shaped lumbar pad and a supportive wrap-around hip belt combine to provide a very stable carry. The hip belt can be easily tightened using the forward pull straps to suit varying girths to ensure the perfect fit. The pack's load is transferred to the lower body by a 3.5mm aluminium frame for stability and comfort when fully loaded.
What are its features?
In terms of storage, there is a large main compartment ideal for heavier and more bulky items such as a tent and sleeping bag. An additional zipped side entry allows you to easily reach in and grab what you need without having to unpack everything.
The two hip belt pockets are perfect for storing small, frequently used items you need to access quickly, such as snacks, a mobile phone or GPS device.
In addition to this, the backpack also has a fixed lid with an internal and external pocket for organisation, which is ideal for keeping items such as a first aid kit, or head torch easily accessible.
There is also a large front mesh pocket and two stretchy side mesh pockets, ideal for carrying water bottles, rain jackets, gloves or airing out damp gear on the go.
The Exion also comes with a secure walking pole and axe loop attachment points, which provide an ideal place to store them, keeping your hands free and your gear safe.
Finally, when the weather turns unexpectedly nasty, the included rain cover ensures your gear stays dry and protected from the elements.
