What is the Kanken Bottle Pocket?
It's an additional pocket to add to your existing Kanken backpack that carries your water bottle on the exterior, meaning you can save precious space in the main compartment for the rest of your belongings and increase its original capacity by an extra litre.
What is it made of?
The pocket is made from Vinylon F, a long-time Fjallraven favourite. It's a synthetic fibre renowned for being used on the classic Kanken backpacks that we all know and love (and the Kajka trekking pack, too!). With its proven durability, the Kanken Bottle Pocket is guaranteed to last you for years to come, being able to resist regular wear and abrasion well. The material is easy to take care of, so you can give it a good wash if your bottle leaks and have it looking fresh out of the bag in no time.
What are its features?
This accessory is large enough to fit 1-litre water bottles or could even be used to store extra layers, newspapers or seat pads that don't fit inside your backpack. It's compatible with the standard Kanken, Kanken No.2, Kanken Re-Wool, Re-Kanken and Kanken Laptop 15" and 17" models.
The steel frame design easily slides into your pack's side pocket to hold it in place. The Snowlock and elastic cord keep the pocket's contents in place and helps stop your bottle from wobbling around inside.
Once you receive the item, you may notice a little hole at the bottom. Don't worry, it's supposed to be there! It allows any spills or leaks to drain out of the base to help prevent liquid from building up or making the material sodden.
