What is the Active Skin 8 Set?
The Active Skin 8 Set includes a running vest and two 500ml soft flasks. This vest is the perfect solution to bulk-free storage and makes a great alternative to a backpack for trail running and marathon training.
What is it made of?
This running vest comprises PFC-free nylon, polyester and elastane to create something lightweight, moisture-wicking and breathable yet incredibly durable to survive in rugged terrain and withstand regular use. The elastane offers a good stretch, making it comfortable to wear and offering the flexibility you need for more technical adventures.
What are its features?
3D Air Mesh shoulder straps are comfy and offer sufficient freedom of movement without feeling too soft and unsupportive. They are super breathable and quick drying, helping to prevent sweat build-up during long, intense sessions.
In terms of hydration, Salomon has provided two soft flasks with the vest for lightweight, on-the-go hydration. The vest is also hydration-compatible and can accommodate a 1.5-litre water bladder for hands-free sipping.
Two stretchy chest pockets are perfect for holding the soft flasks or energy gels, keeping them on hand as you move. One additional front zipped pocket, an internal pocket and a key holder work well for securing more valuable items such as car or house keys and a mobile phone.
The larger back compartment holds bulkier essentials like a shell layer or beanie hat.
Sensifit™ technology utilises the stretchy material to optimise the fit and stability of the vest, which you can then enhance with lightweight adjustments. Compression straps help reduce volume and cinch the load in to keep it stable, fixing the weight onto your back.
A quick link sternum strap enables you to quickly adjust the vest on the fly to minimise stop time. Elasticated panels also make breathing easier when picking up the pace or working up a steep incline.
Finally, thanks to the specialised connecting system, the Active Skin 8 Set is also Custom Quiver compatible (sold separately).
