What is the Klimatic III?
It's a warm sleeping bag that uses primarily recycled materials to help reduce environmental impact without compromising performance. Thanks to its efficient temperature rating, the Kilmatic III is ideal for winter camping in the UK and even trekking at higher altitudes.
What is it made of?
Outer/lining: Both the outer material and lining comprise a 100% recycled 20D shell material that is light yet durable. It feels lovely and smooth against the skin, making it comfy enough for a good night's kip.
Insulation: M.E. has used 90% recycled PolarLoft® insulation to fill the bag, which has less impact on the Earth. PolarLoft® is a high-performance synthetic insulation developed to thrive in places where down cannot. It provides excellent weather resistance whilst offering superior warmth and comfort to help you feel your best throughout your adventure, unlike down, which loses all heat and loft when wet.
What are its features?
The Klimatic III is designed with an Alpine Fit, which sits closer to the body to maximise thermal efficiency and keep weight low. An offset layer construction throughout also helps to prevent heat from escaping through the seams, as baffles are layered over the seams of other baffles.
An anatomically shaped hood and foot box provides comfort and space to accommodate a more natural lying position without the excess volume.
A full-length zip baffle runs down the main entry point to help prevent heat from escaping through the fastening and also to help keep some heat in when you open it.
There's also an integrated collar to help retain heat around the neck and shoulders where it could be easy for valuable warm air to escape.
Last but not least, this bag comes with a lightweight compression sack, allowing you to pack it down as much as possible for on-the-go carry.
When storing at home, we recommend not folding sleeping bags into their sacks; just stuff them in willy-nilly! Doing this will prevent creases from developing in the insulation, which could result in cold gaps.
