What is the Mirrostat 7.0 Mat?
It's a lightweight camping mattress designed to provide ample warmth, comfort and stability with less bulk. This sleeping mat has a small pack size yet still has an R-value rating of 4.5, making it ideal for three-season use in the UK.
What is it made of?
Outer: The face material comprises recycled, 20D plain-weave polyester with a TPU lamination that enhances durability and resists moisture, such as leaks and spills. This material is super lightweight yet durable enough to be used regularly, making this mat a great all-round piece of equipment.
Insulation: The Mirrostat doesn't feature insulation as we know it. You'll find no down or synthetic filling here! Instead, to minimise weight and bulk, this mat uses an internal film that reflects heat, so your body heat will bounce back into your sleep system instead of being lost in the cold ground underneath.
What are its features?
A spot-welded construction improves comfort and durability, as no chunky seams are likely to rub or rip the longer you use this mat.
Offset baffles provide greater stability on the mat, especially when combined with the bathtub-style sides (slightly raised/larger on each side) that stop you from falling off - ideal for wriggly sleepers!
A two-way self-sealing Gas Mask valve makes easy work of inflation and deflation of the mat. The Mirrostat also comes with a Windsock®, meaning you can inflate the bag without feeling lightheaded; it also doubles up as a lightweight stuffsack when not in use!
Should an unfortunate rip or tear occur (though unlikely), this product comes with its own repair kit for an easy DIY fix, helping your mat last even longer.
Tested to ASTM F3340 standards, this mat produces an R-value rating of 4.5, making it suitable for three-season UK camping and light, milder winter camps too!
