What is the Piopio Solo Tent?
The Piopio Solo Tent is an ultra-light solo tunnel tent suitable for camping across three seasons, from spring to autumn. This one-person tent has a compact packing size and weighs just 1kg, making it well suited for backpacking and trekking adventures.
With only one pole, this lightweight tent takes just 5 minutes to pitch. An excellent attribute after you've spent a long day hiking in the mountains or are in a hurry due to weather constraints!
What is it made of?
Flysheet: The flysheet is made from a highly durable and waterproof Gorlyn 20D high tenacity ripstop 6.6 Nylon, which is silicone coated on both sides for added water resistance.
Inner: The tent inner is made from 15D air-permeable ripstop Nylon. Its lightweight knitted mesh maximises airflow, breathability and helps keep even the smallest insects out.
Floor: The tent floor is made from 20D ripstop Nylon with fire-retardant TPU laminate that has a hydrostatic head of 10,000mm. The tent's footprint is created in a bathtub shape with taped seams to provide added protection against drafts and downpours.
Pole: The single pole is made from 8.7mm anodised 7001 aluminium for an exceptionally lightweight and durable design, providing a stable frame for the Piopio Solo Tent in high winds.
What are its features?
Entry: This tent has a singular wide entry with independent dual zippers and door tie-backs that create space to remove your boots and damp clothes easily. The single vestibule provides storage for wet and bulky items, keeping the tent's interior dry.
Space: This is a solo tunnel tent with plenty of room for one person to sleep comfortably. The high apex provides an inner height of 105cm, offering roomy living quarters, perfect for taking shelter and relaxing on a wet and windy evening!
Storage: There is one interior pocket for keeping your phone, power bank and charging leads close to hand.
Ventilation: This tent offers excellent breathability with its lightweight nylon mesh interior. You can increase the airflow by using the vent at the top of the vestibule doors to reduce condensation. This tent can also be used without the waterproof flysheet, offering maximum ventilation and uninterrupted scenic views, although this is only suitable for warm and dry climates.
Guys, Attachments & Pegs: This tent is secured with eight Y-shape twisted 16cm pegs. They are brightly coloured and have reflective pull cords making them easy to use. Made from strong and lightweight 7001 aluminium, they are best suited for firm soil in camping grounds, forests and mountainous areas.
This tent frame is constructed using a single pole with lock tip ends to secure the poles for a quick pitch design. They are made from the same durable aluminium as the tent pegs. A pole field-repair tube is included in case it is ever needed.
