What is the Chinook Ursa Tent?
The Chinook Ursa is the perfect basecamp tent for holidays and long trips away with family and friends. This charming tent is designed in a traditional tipi shape with a Bedouin-style open front. This airy configuration is advantageous when camping in hot climates when cooling shade is hard to find.

What is it made of?
Flysheet: This tent uses Robens HydroTex® Polycotton, a robust fabric made from 65% polyester and 35% cotton. The fabric is made with a tight weave and treated with a durable water repellent that encourages rain to bead off the surface instead of soaking in. Fibres in this material swell the more they get wet, forming a waterproof seal to reinforce the treatment and provide maximum protection against the elements. This water resistance is totally different to that of synthetic material– hence no hydrostatic head rating.
This superb fabric is also highly breathable, UV and heat-resistant. It maintains the tent's microclimate by eliminating condensation and keeping the internal temperature cool in summer and warm when temperatures drop. Its robust construction means it does not create any unwanted noise flapping in the wind.
Floor: The zip-in groundsheet is made from 100% Oxford polyester, tightly woven with a 210 thread count. It provides a durable and highly water resistant base for this tent. A hydrostatic head rating of 10,000mm gives ample protection and reliability on damp ground.
Poles: The poles are constructed from anodised aluminium, a metal with an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. The anodizing increases the corrosion resistance and overall durability of the poles, giving your tent a longer lifespan.
What are its features?
Entry: This tipi-style tent has a single A-frame door with zipped side gussets. When undone, they fully open the front of the tent to reveal the inside, using the door's A-frame poles for support. This creates a tranquil shaded living space to relax and enjoy nature.
Space: With plenty of room for eight people to sleep comfortably, this tent features an extremely generous max internal head height of 250cm and 205cm at the apex of the doorway, ample room for even the tallest of campers to stand comfortably.

Ventilation: The sprung apex vent cowl allows you to quickly increase the ventilation in the tent, by pulling and locking off two cords that run through integral channels. The apex vent is a simple and highly effective solution for controlling airflow and reducing condensation.
Guys, Attachments & Pegs: The guylines are reflective to stop literal nighttime trips, whilst the guyline retainers help avoid annoying tangled guylines when storing your tent.
The reinforced triangular guying points help to spread the load of strong winds across the whole tent, reducing the strain on key areas of the flysheet.
Additional extras: This tent has an elasticated stovepipe port to allow the use of a Robens tent stove to elevate your camping experience. Robens tent stoves are available to purchase separately.
