What is the Tor 3?The Tor is a spacious, easy to pitch dome tent suitable for backpacking, trekking or just general camping. Thanks to its versatile size, it'll work as both a three-person tent or two-person tent with some extra wiggle room.
What is it made of?The Flysheet is made from Robens' HydroTex Core fabric, a tough 75D polyester fabric that features a fire-retardant treatment and polyurethane coating, resulting in a fully waterproof shelter with a hydrostatic head of 3000mm. As well as offering complete protection, it's also one of the more breathable options available, making it great for our varied UK conditions. All seams in the tent are fully sealed, so you're guaranteed to stay dry provided everything is pitched correctly! The inner is made from a similar 68D polyester, but with the exception of all the weatherproof coatings.
How is it constructed?The Tor is a dome tent, meaning it's shaped a bit like a dome (shock!) and will stand up on its own. This freestanding design makes it one of the easiest tents to pitch as it can be picked up and moved if the wind changes direction or you've set up on a bit of lumpy terrain. To pitch the tent, simply attach the poles to the inner tent, pop the flysheet over the top, peg the relevant locations and you're good to go! If you're camping on a warm, dry night, you can leave the flysheet in the stuffsack and sleep with a view of the stars.
What are its features?The vestibule features a roll-back front and sides, creating a panoramic view from the sleeping area on dry evenings. Thanks to this clever door design, you can ventilate in a multitude of ways depending on wind direction. Further increasing ventilation are rain-protected vents which reduce condensation in adverse conditions. The inner door features a mosquito net to give you some privacy during spring/summer outings. Lastly, a waterproof stuffsack is included to keep everything safe and protected.
