What is the Sonic LS Zip?
The Sonic LS (long-sleeved) Zip t-shirt is ideal for high intensity activities such as trail and fell running or a spin session at the local gym. The lightweight, fast-drying fabric optimises comfort whilst helping to keep you cool and your temperature regulated.
What is it made of?
Rab has constructed this zip-up t-shirt using Motiv™ Aero single jersey fabric. This material has a fine mesh structure with fast-drying and moisture-wicking properties that promote ventilation.
Moisture-wicking base layers are important to help draw moisture away from the body, unlike cotton shirts which will just hold the damp in, creating a clingy, wet feeling on the skin. These types of wicking fabrics allow sweat to pass through the material, away from the skin, helping to keep you dry and allowing you to regulate your temperature by avoiding lingering cold sweat patches.
The fabric has an added odour control treatment which will help to keep you feeling and smelling fresh all day long, great for endurance runs across the mountains or even a short morning run in your local park.

Breathability is enhanced with fast-drying fabric and the overall lightweight feel of the shirt, alongside an odour control treatment for added freshness. Microactive, low bulk seams are solid yet soft and light on the skin, helping to increase comfort and reduce chafing when working up a sweat.
A collar sits comfortably around the neck to help keep the heat in, fastened with the quarter-length zip fastening at the front of the shirt, handy for extra ventilation and adjustments around the chest. Centre front zips are ideal for when layering up in colder climates. When your body starts heating up on the move, you will have the option to unzip layers to cool down, instead of having to completely strip off in the middle of your trek, just to want to put them back on ten minutes later!
Raglan sleeves allow great freedom of movement, ideal for climbing or scrambling up your local crags.
Hidden stretch thumb loops allow extra coverage over the hands, alongside added warmth for the colder months whilst keeping the sleeves in place. Thumb loops are helpful if you're using a lot of dynamic movements during an activity or for layering the top underneath other garments, as they help prevent the sleeves from riding up your arm.
