What is the ROC Spitz Mid Hoodie?
The ROC Spitz Mid Hoodie is a supremely warm and breathable technical midlayer that is designed for fast-paced mountain adventures and high energy outdoor adventures in colder climates.
It uses a combination of Polartec® High Loft™ and stretch fleece for excellent thermal performance and breathability when working hard, keeping you warm without overheating.
What is it made from?
The ROC Spitz Mid Hoodie is made from a zonal combination of Polartec High Loft® fleece and a soft, stretchy polyester fleece for the perfect balance of warmth, weight and breathability for high-output mountain adventures.
The Polartec High Loft® fleece panels across the core body and upper arms push the boundaries of fleece comfort and thermal warmth. It uses a patented high-loft structure, which is super soft and packable, created with extended polyester yarns. These yarns work by creating large air pockets to trap heat, retaining more warmth than your average fleece fabric.
The stretch fleece is made from a blend of polyester and elastane; not surprisingly, it's super stretchy and feels soft and comfortable next to the skin, allowing this hoodie to be used as a super warm baselayer or midlayer depending on the conditions. The stretch fleece panels provide durability in high-wear areas whilst increasing layering comfort without increasing the overall bulk of the jacket.
Thanks to this clever combination of fleece fabrics, the ROC Spitz Mid Hoodie has a supreme warmth-to-weight ratio. Though warm, the material is highly breathable and can regulate temperature effectively to keep you comfortable working in the mountains.
What are its features?
A snug-fitted hood can comfortably layer underneath a climbing helmet to provide additional coverage and protection from harsh winds. The hood has an elastic trim to enhance the fit around your face for maximum heat retention, helping to keep you warm in cold environments.
Made from soft and stretchy fleece, the ROC Spitz has excellent freedom of movement for active use, allowing you to reach for higher holds and extend your limits whilst climbing.
A single chest pocket provides storage for valuable items, such as a mobile phone or a GPS device. Two hand pockets provide storage for plenty of trail snacks and energy gels. All pockets use a secure zipped closure, so you don't have to worry about dropping your essentials on the mountain.
The side pockets have been strategically placed so they line up with Haglofs ROC Spitz Shell jacket zips, making accessing your essentials through your layers easier, meaning that you won't have to unzip your jacket to grab a snack and let out vital heat.
