What is the Lightline Vest?
It's a super warm, lightweight gilet that provides essential insulation and unhindered movement in freezing conditions, perfect for hiking, scrambling, or mountaineering.
What is it made of?
The vest's outer is constructed with Drilite® Loft, which provides complete wind resistance and a high level of water resistance for harsh mountain conditions.
It's filled with 160g of pure, RDS-certified down, with a minimum content of 90/10 700 fill power, making it extremely warm without excessive weight or bulk.
Can't quite catch the lingo? Here's a quick breakdown...
700 Fill power - Fill power measures the warmth and efficiency of the down, alongside its ability to loft/fluff up. A rating of 700 fill power means that 1oz of this down fills 700 cubic inches of space when fully lofted.
R.D.S - The Responsible Down Standard ensures that the down is sourced from happy birds who haven't been plucked and have been well cared for.
Down Insulation - Down insulation uses down feathers, usually from ducks or geese, which are incredibly fluffy, lightweight, and retain heat exceptionally well. It's one of the most popular forms of insulation in outdoor equipment and is often used in jackets, gilets, and sleeping bags.
What are its features?
A stitch-through construction helps prevent down migration, minimising the risk of cold gaps forming in the down and keeping an even spread of insulation throughout.
A two-way moulded centre front zip makes for easy access. The zip is backed with a rear insulated baffle that provides extra warmth, even when the gilet is unzipped.
Two zipped hand pockets are ideal for storing small essentials like snacks, a GPS device, or a mobile phone, and double up nicely and hand warmers if you've forgotten your gloves! There's also an additional inner zipped security pocket for keeping valuables safe.
Lastly, the hem drawcord lets you cinch in the waist and retain heat for cold, breezy mountain missions.
