What are the Hard Mixed Gloves?
They're durable, warm gloves that perfectly balance dexterity and protection for challenging mixed ascents, ice climbs and mixed leads in the wintertime. They're the ideal technical mountain glove and have been developed in conjunction with Mountain Equipment's very own team of Alpine and winter climbers to ensure optimum performance.
What are they made of?
The outer of these gloves is constructed using a four-way stretch nylon outer fabric with a laminated, water-resistant membrane to deliver sufficient weather protection and durability to endure the rigours of harsh, rocky environments.
Palms are crafted with Pittards® Armortan® Goatskin leather with a digital surface and reinforced fingertips to help reduce wear and tear.
What are their features?
These gloves are made with a climbing fit and pre-curved, darted and articulated fingers and thumbs for maximum dexterity, allowing you to handle ropes, tools, and equipment unhindered.
The gauntlet design adds protection around the wrists, plus the fabric pile fleece lining on the back of the hand delivers next-to-skin comfort. A micro-fleece lining bonded to the palm enhances comfort without impeding dexterity and accuracy.
A heat-reflective internal scrim (lining) increases warmth by reflecting body heat instead of allowing it to escape, enhancing warmth while keeping overall bulk to a minimum. Maintaining a low-bulk profile will enable you to move your hands and fingers more accurately, so you don't need to take your gloves off to achieve maximum precision.
The adjustable wrist closure allows you to cinch in the material and seal the weather out. Lastly, carabiner carry loops allow you to attach the gloves to a harness or backpack when you're not wearing them, keeping them accessible at all times.
