What are the Aenergy Light SO Pants?
These are lightweight yet durable trousers built for various mountain activities, including mountaineering, climbing and hiking during the summer months and seasonal transitions when the temperatures are milder.
What are they made of?
These trousers are constructed using Mammut SOFTech, made of 40D lightweight double weave material. It's incredibly abrasion resistant and can withstand a beating in rugged terrain, without being overly weighty or bulky for warmer, calmer conditions.
This highly elastic material provides a lovely stretch to enhance freedom of movement for more technical ascents. Though a double-weave material, it's breathable and quick drying to help keep you comfortable when working up a sweat.
A PFC-free durable water repellent encourages water spills or light rain showers to bead off the fabric's surface instead of soaking in. However, this does not make it waterproof. PFC-free treatments are also much healthier for the planet as they don't use harmful per-fluorinated chemicals, aka 'forever chemicals' that stay in the environment after use.
To top it all off, the material and treatment are bluesign® approved, and this product has been created in conjunction with FairWear standards.

What are their features?
These trousers have an elasticated waistband to offer plenty of flexibility around the mid-section and improve overall comfort. You can adjust the waistband with the subtle drawstring adjuster to optimise the fit if you wish.
The fly is concealed with easy-to-use snap buttons, and knees are pre-shaped to offer a more natural fit and allow the joints to move without restriction.
There are plenty of storage options to go by with the Aenergy Light SO Pants. They feature two backpack and climbing-harness compatible zipper pockets alongside a leg zipper pocket, which is much better for storing bulkier items that you want to keep out of your way, like a mobile phone or GPS device.
Hems are adjustable and asymmetrically shaped to optimise the fit over chunky mountain boots, and the design is finished with a classic Mammut logo on the right leg.
