90-day returns period

We hope that you are perfectly happy with your order from Trekitt, but we understand that you may want to return your purchase. We offer a 90 days return period from the date of purchase, and endeavour to process all returns within 48 hours of receipt.

We do not offer a free returns service. Therefore, all customers are responsible for any postage costs when returning any goods (excluding warranty returns).

For your convenience, follow here to the Royal Mail Returns Portal to arrange return postage for your items. This is not a Trekitt operated service.

Exemptions
PPE (Facemasks, Climbing Equipment etc. ), Food Goods, Accessory Cord, Socks & Underwear can only be returned if they have not been worn and/or removed from their original packaging with all swing tags still attached. If there is any sign or possibility that the goods have been used, tampered with or contaminated in any way, then we cannot accept a return on the grounds of consumer safety. Zips are typically not covered under a manufacturer's warranty.

Cotton proof works by coating the individual fibres with a flexible water repellent treatment so they can't soak up as much water whilst allowing moisture vapour to pass through. This process reduces weight gain from water ingress and maintains the natural breathability of cotton. Easily applied in a washing machine, which ensures the treatment gets right thorough the fabric. However, if garment care instructions restrict machine use, hand proofing is effective. The Durable Water Repellency (DWR) develops on air drying, there is no need for tumble drying. For used and dirty clothing, we recommend that the garment is first cleaned with Nikwax Tech Wash on a separate cycle, there is no need to dry before re-proofing, just bung in the Cotton Proof and start another wash cycle.

Nikwax waterproofing products are completely environmentally friendly. They are water based, non-aerosol, non-flammable, non-hazardous, contain no harmful solvents or volatile organic compounds and are completely free of flurocarbons.

Technical Information

Machine Proofing:

For best results always clean item first with Nikwax Tech Wash in a separate wash cycle. No need to dry item before waterproofing. Shake well before use. Follow care label instructions.

  • Remove all detergent build-up from the detergent dispenser.
  • Place clean items in washing machine (maximum 3 items).
  • Use 50 ml per item.
  • Wash according to care label.

Air dry or tumble dry on a low setting if care label allows.
To maintain waterproofing always wash with Nikwax Tech Wash. Do not use detergents

Hand Proofing:

Use gloves (to avoid waterproofing your hands!).

  • Immerse clean item in 6 litres hand-hot water in sink or bowl.
  • Use 50 ml per item.
  • Agitate to mix, leave to soak for 5 minutes, then agitate thoroughly.
  • Rinse with cold water until water runs clear.

Air dry or tumble dry on a low setting if care label allows.
To maintain waterproofing always wash with Nikwax Tech Wash. Do not use detergents
