Nikwax Down Wash Direct 300ml

Machine washing:

Use neat Down Wash to treat stubborn stains before washing. Remove all non-washable parts. Shake well before use. Follow care label instructions (large items can be treated by hand). Do not use detergents.

• Remove all detergent build up from the detergent dispenser.
• Place item in washing machine (maximum 1 item).
• Use 150 ml in medium/hard water areas and 100 ml in soft water areas.
• Wash according to care label, preferably on a gentle cycle and slow spin.
• After the washing cycle has finished run multiple spin cycles, each time incrementally increasing the spin speed, to remove excess water.

Hand washing:

Use gloves.

• Immerse item in 6 litres of hand-hot water in sink, bowl or bath.
• For clothing use 150 ml in medium/hard water areas and 100 ml in soft water areas.
• For sleeping bags use 150 ml in 4 cm deep water in a bath.
• Agitate to mix and leave to soak for 5 - 10 minutes, then agitate again
• Rinse clothing in cold water until water runs clear.
• For sleeping bags repeat process, drain and gently press the bag to expel water

Drying:

• Spin dry three times on a slow spin.
• If care label allows tumble dry according to manufacturers instructions on a low setting.
• Repeatedly remove item from dryer to break up clumps of wet down.
• Hang item in a warm dry place (airing cupboard) for 24 hours.
• If care label allows tumble dry according to manufacturers instructions on a low setting for about 30 minutes.
