What are the L.I.M FH GTX Boots?
Take lighter steps whilst conquering big distances with these high performance, mid-height hiking boots. These boots are super lightweight and highly weather resistant. They have a Gore-Tex® lining and high impact cushioning Flytefoam™ and Gel™ technology to keep you dry and comfortable whilst reaching the summit.
What are they made of?
The L.I.M FH GTX Boots are constructed using a combination of materials, including 100% Recycled Polyester with Wet Grip Rubber™ and Gore-Tex® Extended Comfort, FlyteFoam™ and GEL™ technology.
Upper: The upper uses 100% Recycled Polyester for a more sustainable build than many other walking boots on the market. The polyester is lightweight and considerably easier to clean than other fabrics, often a relief when you need to rinse them down after yomping around wet, muddy hillsides!
Lining: Gore-tex® Extended Comfort - this specialised technology provides waterproof breathability and works best in moderate to warm conditions or high-intensity activity. Extended Comfort prevents water from seeping inside the shoe whilst allowing sweat vapour to escape to help regulate temperature and improve comfort.
Midsole: The midsole uses a combination of Flytefoam™ and Gel™ technology for a soft, cushiony feel under the foot to help reduce impact and improve performance.
Flytefoam™ - Developed by Asics, Flytefoam™ midsole technology has built-in reinforced fibres to help maintain cushioning and durability whilst providing a lightweight feel underfoot.
Gel™ - Gel™ technology has been developed to reduce impact on the rearfoot and forefoot using strategic gel placement. The Gel™ increases shock absorption from movement with multiple layers of formulated foam cushioning to increase overall comfort, performance and stability.
Footbed: MaxLite-Moulded Ortholite™ 0.11D - Ortholite™ soles provide durable foam cushioning whilst maintaining a lightweight feel to improve overall comfort. Ortholite™ offers high breathability and moisture management control, ideal for warmer climates or intense mountain hikes when working up a sweat.
Outsole: WET GRIP Rubber™ - WET GRIP Rubber™ uses a blend of raw rubber (often used in snow tyres) for grip and chaff to penetrate the water layer on wet ground. Whilst the rubber provides a super grippy surface, the chaff helps to increase the contact area on the ground for an overall reliable feel.
What are their features?
The majority of the main features of these super techy walking boots are listed within the materials above - combined, they create protective, comfortable walking boots with a mid-cut style and high performance to weight ratio.
These boots sit midway up the ankle for better coverage, especially in wet conditions, with a padded CORDURA® ankle for reinforced support.
Fasten the L.I.M FH GTX with an easy lacing system, which sits over a branded tongue.
Haglöfs have finished the design with TPU protection and subtle branding on the lateral and medial sides of the shoe.
How do they fit?
These boots have an average fit with high performance to weight ratio. They provide optimum comfort on long-distance excursions to help prevent nasty blisters that would commonly occur if you were wearing ill-fitting boots or shoes.
