What are the Rush 2 Pro Mid GTX?
They're Gore-Tex® waterproof hiking boots that are versatile enough for various outdoor adventures and experience levels. Whether hiking, trekking, or hill walking, they'll keep you comfort, supported, and protected all day long.
What are they made of?
These boots use a PFC-free nubuck leather and mesh upper for durability, abrasion resistance, and breathability with less weight and bulk.
They also feature waterproof Gore-Tex® ePE. This updated, bluesign® approved Gore® material uses an ePE membrane, a key milestone in the leading brand's responsible performance journey. If you were wondering, ePE stands for expanded polyethene, which is light, thin yet durable, and PFC-free.
If you're familiar with Trekitt descriptions, you may have seen that 'PFC-free' phrase floating around before. PFCs are per or poly-fluorinated chemicals, aka 'forever chemicals' that stay permanently in the environment and cause lasting damage to our ecosystems. Many companies are working towards a completely PFC-free future, so this is quite a breakthrough for the Gore-Tex® brand! In addition, this membrane has a reduced carbon footprint, as it uses laminates with a lower-mass membrane and select textiles, making it an ideal choice for more environmentally conscious adventurers.
bluesign® approved means it's manufactured in a way that is safe for the environment, workers and consumers. bluesign® certifications ensure that the materials used avoid harmful substances, use reduced air and water emissions, increase resource productivity, and the production line is more transparent and trustworthy.
An EVA midsole provides underfoot support and helps to absorb impact.
A Presa® sole delivers ample grip and traction on various terrain and solid ground, while the rigid TPU heel structure helps to enhance stability.
What are their features?
IKS (Interactive Kinetic System) technology reinvents the principles of cushioning to deliver maximum performance and comfort all day long.
A rubber rand at the toe protects against impact from rocks and enhances structure around the toes for light climbing or scrambling, while Scarpa ActivImpact technology helps to absorb shock. The mid-cut design also provides further protection for the ankle.
Scarpa's ActivFit technology uses specific shoe shaping to guarantee absolute comfort and deliver maximum performance by hugging the foot and ankle comfortably when the foot naturally rocks on and off the ground.
