What is the Dyno LT Jacket? The Dyno LT is a lightweight, wind and water-resistant softshell jacket with 4-way stretch fabric, offering comfort and protection, perfect for 3 season mountain conditions.
What is the Dyno LT made from? The Dyno LT is made from Granite Stretch, a 4-way stretch nylon fabric, offering great freedom of movement and excellent abrasion resistance. In combination with a PFC-free DWR, the Dyno LT offers lightweight protection from the elements, shedding light rain and offering wind resistance. The fabric’s denier gradient construction helps regulate body temperature and is ideal for faster-paced mountain activities.
What are the features? Starting from the top, the Dyno LT features a fully adjustable, climbing helmet-compatible hood with a wired peak. The hood can be rolled away when not in use. A full-length two-way YKK VISLON® front zip with internal storm flap helps to keep the worst of the elements at bay, whilst articulated arms with a tailored fit keep excess material out of the way when climbing and scrambling. The Dyno LT has a harness-compatible fit, meaning the zipped map-sized, mesh-lined hand pockets sit a little higher, so as not to interfere with a harness. Along with the two hand pockets, there is also a smaller zipped chest pocket. The adjustable hem with a cinchable drawcord round out the features on the Dyno LT.
How does Dyno LT fit?The Dyno LT falls into Montane’s Active Mountain fit, designed to be low bulk and to fit closely to the body, or to be layered with other non-bulky garments, these garments are intended for faster-paced mountain activities. This means it will be a slimmer fit, allowing for light layering underneath. The centre back length is 72cm, so it will fit those up to and over 6ft without any issues. Articulated arms prevent the hem lifting excessively when reaching above your head.
Where does this fit in the layering system? The Dyno LT is primarily designed to be worn as a lightweight outer layer to provide wind and water repellency. That being said, it can be worn under a shell if the weather is particularly bad and can be layered under an insulated jacket when stationary/moving slowly.
