What is the Ovik Hydratic Jacket?

It's a breathable waterproof jacket with a full feature set that provides ample performance and function for casual outdoor exploring, whether a leisurely hill walk with friends or a weekend away in the country. Plus, its stylish, modern design is more than ideal for urban exploring and city adventures, making it an all-round staple piece for your winter wardrobe.

What is it made of?

The outer comprises recycled polyester that feels light and breathable. Though recycled, it still provides excellent durability to withstand regular wear and abrasion.

A Hydratic® PU membrane and PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) give this jacket its waterproof capabilities. The Hydratic® membrane is laminated to the jacket's face fabric to create a two-layer construction that doesn't impede breathability - moisture can be wicked away quickly and efficiently to prevent sweat build-up and condensation on the inside.

If you were wondering, PFC-free DWRs are a much more sustainable alternative than conventional repellent treatments. Perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs) used initially in DWRs aren't able to break down, so once they reach nature via water waste from factories, they stay out there and contaminate living organisms, working their way up the food chain. PFCs are suspected carcinogens and have been known to affect mammal reproduction and hormone production. Therefore, like many leading brands in the outdoor industry, Fjallraven has now made it a priority to cut out the use of these chemicals entirely to contribute to a greener manufacturing process.

What are its features?

A relaxed fit leaves plenty of room for layering a jumper, hoodie or midlayer underneath.

This jacket has an adjustable hood that allows you to cinch in the fit for maximum weather protection. The adjuster is designed to be easily repairable, increasing the quality and longevity of this product and helping to keep it out of landfill.

Two zipped chest pockets with button flaps and two zippered hand pockets provide ample storage for small essentials such as a mobile phone, wallet or trail snacks. An additional zipped interior pocket also works well for valuables you want to keep safe on the hill, like house or car keys.

This jacket is fastened with a two-way zip, convenient for ventilation or for giving yourself more room to move on steep inclines, as you can simply unzip the lower half. The zip is also protected with a button-down storm flap to help keep the weather out.

A drawcord adjustment at the hem allows you to cinch the bottom to keep the breeze out, whilst velcro adjusters on the cuffs make space for wearing chunky gloves or smartwatches.
