What is it made of?

The Falketind Gore-Tex Hooded Jacket is made of a three-layer 40D ePE Gore-Tex with a recycled nylon face and backer. Gore-Tex features great waterproofness (28,000mm), breathability (RET less than 13), and total windproofness.

The 28,000 mm waterproof rating means the fabric can withstand a water column of up to 28,000 millimetres before water penetrates. This high level of waterproofing ensures that the jacket can endure heavy rain and harsh wet conditions, keeping you dry and comfortable during intense outdoor activities and adventures.

RET, or Resistance to Evaporative Heat Transfer, measures how well a fabric allows moisture to escape. A RET value of less than 13 means the fabric has good breathability, essential for comfort during physical activities.

The recycled nylon face and backer, made from repurposed waste like old fishing nets and fabric scraps, significantly reduce environmental impact by lowering greenhouse gas emissions and minimising landfill waste.
