What is the Fairview Trek 70?
Whether it's a relaxing city break or a round-the-world adventure, the Fairview Trek 70 has, quite literally, got your back. A multiple pocket system offers convenience and security for your belongings whilst keeping you organised, giving you one less thing to worry about on your travels.
What is it made of?
Using GRS-certified recycled materials, this pack is constructed with 450D Polyester Twist, which is tough and durable enough to take on the hustle and bustle of long excursions. Fabric is treated in PFC/PFAS free DWR to create a dirt and water repellent barrier, keeping your load clean and dry.
Which backsystem does it use?
Osprey's AirScape™ backsystem prioritises comfort and stability by combining three components.
AIRSCAPE™ LIGHTWIRE SUSPENSION - A lightweight 3.5mm peripheral frame provides support and transfers the weight of the load to the hipbelt whilst maintaining flexibility for freedom of movement. An Atilon flexible frame-sheet equally spreads the load across the entire backpanel.
AIRSCAPE™ BACKPANEL - The specialised AirScape™ backpanel features vented and ridged foam sections overlaid with a breathable, lightweight mesh for maximum comfort and breathability.
AIRSCAPE™ SPACERMESH HARNESS AND HIPBELT - The shoulder harness and hipbelt are made with a soft, edgeless contact material with a sizeable load-bearing surface area for maximum comfort, ventilation and efficient weight transfer. The AirScape™ back system is adjustable to ensure the perfect fit using an adjustable Velcro pad on the shoulder harness.
What are the features?
Entry into the pack is via a large U-Zip on the front of the bag, giving you full access to the whole pack, opening up like a suitcase.
The main compartment has internal compression wings that strap everything down and prevent movement inside during use. One of these compression wings hides a zipped security pocket for important items such as your passport.
There is also an internal divider, should you need to separate some wet/dirty kit. You can get to the lower divided section through another external zip, similar to regular backpacks' sleeping bag compartment. On the inside is the hydration sleeve that'll easily swallow a three-litre bladder to ensure you don't dehydrate in hot conditions.
You've got plenty of external pockets, and two large pockets are the top, both of which are great for items you need to get to quickly. The larger pocket contains the Osprey Air Cover, which can encase the bag, protecting it during transit, so buckle straps aren't snagged on conveyor belts. It can also be used as a rain cover when carrying the pack in wet conditions.
Twin-zipped hip belt pockets are perfect for snacks or a GPS. Plus, there are mesh pockets on each side of the bag with twin access, ideal for storing water bottles on the go. There is another large zipped pocket on the front of the pack, great for lighter belongings such as tickets, magazines, maps, and guides.
The StraightJacket™ compression system across the front of the pack helps keep the load under control when trekking or compress the pack if it's not fully laden. The base compartment features two external sleeping pad straps, adding extra storage options, or you can remove them if preferred.
