What is the Flask Belt?
The Flask Belt is a minimal fanny pack for trail running and ultrarunning, yet versatile enough for hill walking and everyday activities like walking the pooch before work. It's perfect for carrying flasks, energy gels and doggy bags without the bulk and weight of a backpack.
What is it made of?
40D Ripstop offers durability where you need it most, increasing the longevity of the pouch to withstand years of regular use in various terrain. It's lightweight and not at all bulky, weighing in at a mere 100g.
Strategically placed Elastic Airmesh panels allow maximum airflow to ventilate the vest during intense activity. It's lovely and flexible and feels smooth and comfy next to the skin, giving total freedom of movement instead of being rigid or restrictive.
Both materials are PFC-free. This means they don't contain per-fluorinated chemicals that are harmful to the environment, earning this piece some bonus eco-friendly credentials.
What are its features?
The Flask Belt has a soft flask pocket which is fairly self explanatory, and a multi-use pocket to carry an array of items suited to your activity, whether energy gels, doggy bags or a super lightweight, packable shell layer.
Pole attachments allow you to keep running and walking poles out of the way when they're not being used.
The magnetic buckle springs together to fasten the belt. It's quick and easy to use, even with cold fingers or when wearing chunky mittens. It also makes an extremely satisfying click when fastened if, like me (and most of our E-com/Marketing departments), you're easily pleased - it certainly went down a treat when the team went to view it at the ranging meetings!
Overall, the Flask Belt is not only an investment for keen runners who want to carry minimal gear throughout their sessions, but walkers and hikers who'd prefer not to carry a whole daypack with them. A staple all-round piece of kit.
