What is the Madris Light ML Hooded Jacket?
The Madris Light ML Hooded Jacket is a lightweight fleece midlayer that is incredibly versatile and makes a reliable companion for various adventures and conditions. It works well as a lightweight outer layer for cool summer evenings around the campfire yet has the technical performance of a midlayer for suit climbing, mountaineering and snowsports.
What is it made of?
The main material is Stormfleece® which is a double-weave fleece that comprises recycled polyester and elastane. It's supple, exceptionally durable and has a four-way stretch that offers fantastic freedom of movement for climbing and mountaineering. Stormfleece® also has a lightweight, wind and water resistant outer that provides ample protection for tackling exposed routes and challenging mountain conditions and is lighter and less bulky than conventional two or three-layer fabrics.
The fabric is treated with HeiQ Fresh FFL - a bio-based technology which reduces unpleasant odours. So even after intense sessions, you won't return and offend your campmates with the whiffy smell.
To top it all off, the material and treatment is bluesign® approved, and this baselayer has been created in conjunction with FairWear standards.

What are its features?
The hood has a tight fit which can be worn comfortably underneath a helmet, making it ideal for climbing during winter when you need extra warmth and protection.
Flat seams enhance comfort and help to prevent chafing when wearing a backpack or harness for extended periods.
Cuffs are elasticated to minimise bulk for layering underneath down jackets or shell jackets. They also help to retain heat by drawing material closer to the skin, eliminating gaps and preventing the cool breeze from sneaking in.
For storage, there are three pockets in total. The chest pocket is constructed with contrasting fabric and fastened with a zip fastening to keep valuables safe - it's the ideal place to store a mobile phone or GPS as it's secure and easily accessible, even with layers over the top.
For other small essentials you want to keep handy during your travels, there are two, subtle side pockets with concealed zips for carrying other essentials like snacks, energy gels or a spare pair of gloves.
