What is the Lightweight Synchilla Snap-T Pullover?
It's a lightweight snap-closure fleece designed to provide maximum comfort for casual activities and outdoor lifestyles. Whether dog walking, heading to work, relaxing at home or travelling in the camper van, it'll keep you cosy all day long.
What is it made of?
This fleece comprises soft recycled polyester double-sided fleece with an anti-pilling finish to help reduce general signs of wear, enabling them to last even longer. The placket and pocket are also constructed with recycled nylon faille and a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) for extra protection.
Perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs) used in earlier DWRs can't 'break down', so once they reach nature (usually via water waste from factories), they stay out in the environment and contaminate living organisms, working their way up the food chain. PFC's are suspected carcinogens and have been known to affect reproduction and hormone production in mammals. For these reasons, many brands are now using PFC-free alternatives to reduce the impact manufacturing has on our beautiful planet.
This product is also made in a Fair Trade Factory™, giving Patagonia more control of the operations in the factories they choose to work with. Patagonia proudly offers more Fair Trade styles than any other apparel brand in the current market. But how does it work? Patagonia pays a premium for every item made in one of these factories, and this money goes directly to the factory workers. A democratically elected committee of Fair Trade workers will decide how this extra money gets spent in each Fair Trade factory. The program also promotes worker health and safety, and social and environmental compliance, while encouraging healthier dialogue between workers and management.
