What are the Venga Rock Pants?
The Venga Rock Pants are super comfy rock climbing trousers designed to provide ample freedom of movement and durability for climbing, whether bouldering in the gym or tackling a multi-pitch route under the sun.
What are they made of?
These trousers are crafted using soft Regenerative Organic Certified™ cotton and a small amount of elastane to make them stretchy.
Regenerative Organic Certified™ cotton comes from farms that work toward the highest standard of organic materials. This high standard aims to rehabilitate soil, respect animal welfare, and improve the lives of the cotton farmers involved with the process. Thanks to their more responsible farming methods, these practices will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and could trap more carbon than conventional agriculture.
This product is also made in a Fair Trade Factory™, giving Patagonia more control of the operations in the factories they choose to work with. Patagonia proudly offers more Fair Trade styles than any other apparel brand in the current market. But how does it work? Patagonia pays a premium for every item made in one of these factories, and this money goes directly to the factory workers. A democratically elected committee of Fair Trade workers will decide how this extra money gets spent in each Fair Trade factory. The program also promotes worker health and safety, and social and environmental compliance, while encouraging healthier dialogue between workers and management.
What are their features?
A classic, partially elasticated waistband provides ample comfort with less bulk. The trousers are made with climbing-specific articulation, meaning they are specifically shaped to enhance leg movement. Combined with stretchy fabric, darted knees, and a gusseted crotch, these trousers deliver unhindered mobility on the rock while taking pressure away from vital seams to help avoid split trouser moments on the wall!
Harness-compatible, drop-in front pockets with ventilating mesh pocket bags keep your essentials within reach at all times. There are also two top-entry rear pockets and a right-thigh zipped pocket that sits above the knee yet below climbing harness leg loops. A clever detail with the rear pockets is that they also act as seat reinforcement, helping to increase the longevity of the trousers when climbing in rugged terrain.
Adjustable cuffs allow you to cinch in volume around the lower leg for more precision.
